    Default Official: Camaro Arrives Mid-2018

Australian Chevrolet dealers will soon offer the 2018 Camaro by mid-year. Imported and converted to right hand drive by HSV, it will be offered as a single V8 coupe model with the better equipped 2SS spec. The motor will of course be GMís 6.2l LT1 V8, with an expected output of 340kW and 615Nm of twist.

Buyers can choose between a six speed manual or an eight speed auto with paddle shift as standard. GM claims that 0-100kph is dispatched in four seconds for the auto, 4.3 for the manual.

The premium spec SS which it is based off will come with a long list of standard equipment, including performance suspension, four-piston Brembo brakes up front, 20in wheels, HID, and dual-outlet exhaust. Powered front heated seats, dual zone climate control, Bose sound system and leather interior round out the specs.

While we twiddle our thumbs excitedly for the Camaroís official arrival, letís check out our Camaro exhaust system for the car!

It'll come with a typical silly HSV price tag, its a shame because in the US the Camaro is an affordable car and the Corvette is the higher end vehicle... Ford did the right thing with their Mustang import, kept it somewhat affordable.

Ford built them RHD though, these are converted. Different class of vehicle though to a degree, but I agree too dear for me, and once the next gen Camaro comes along in factory RHD in a few years it will force a big loss out of these cars as used vehicles.

There will have to be Chevrolet dealers to sell Camaro and Silverado, just like there are Dodge Ram dealers for Rams converted by the same people that convert these Chevrolets.

People used to carry on about Chev badges on Commodores, this is just as bad... They need to do a factory non HSV RHD version to compete with the Mustang...

Talk is there will be with the next gen Camaro, and then it will probably be proper competition for the Mustang with various optional engines, trim levels etc. This current car will be a superior car to any of the Mustangs currently available in performance, brakes etc, will be to the Mustang like a HSV is to an SS.

No, that was the previous 5th generation Camaro (Zeta platform) and they were built in Canada. The current 6th generation is Alpha platform, US assembled.
