    Default dog clutch question???

howdy guys..... on the weekend my dog clutch wouldn't stay in gear.... it would idle only but as soon as I accelerated the slightest it would jump out. I took the cover off and found the three teeth that are suppose to be back cut were no longer that.... infact it was more the other way. so I have new clutches to put in but I noticed a bit of movement on the piece where the nose clutch bolts to. it slides on the crank back and forth about 5mm. is that normal?? the clutch is held on by 3 bolts plus a dowel but when this is all done up tight, the whole nose dog has about 5mm of movement back and forth on the crank??? is this normal or is something wrong??

    thanks again

Yeah I thought so...... I can remember how the bob weight is held on...? Is it a press fit or grub screw or something like that?

ok... so I got it all off. both keys were rounded off and so is the bob weight keyway. I guess that explains the movement I had. the drive pin also just fell out. should that of been loctited in? was also bent quite a bit.

thanks for the input. appreciate it.
