.. I use ACL Race Heatshield on the race car
some runs.. both sides above the headers/collectors and connecting pipes
otherwise you burn your feet and the paint blisters too ...__________________________________

hi
Smitty2
is it the semi rigid sheet [double layer with fibrous core] ????
Do u have a link ?
How did u attach to underside of tunnel ???
I plan to use semi rigid that can be formed around collector , 1/2 round . Either just a single layer dimpled sheet or ACL/similar material
Products I might use
https://www.carbuilders.com.au/ehs_k .... u can buy the mounts and screws separate if u need only these
https://www.carbuilders.com.au/peel-stick-heat-shield ....heavier version for the tunnel
I would recommend the light duty peel and stick to cover heater / air con boxes...... I give it 8--8.5 outta 10
edging tape is only thin
DONOT stick and remove as this reduces glue effectiveness alot

Fiberfrax under the carpet.
Wont do much for protecting the paint under the car but you could sit a babys bum on the floor and they wont feel a thing.

hi
Similar to ceramic blankets . NB theses have to be washed or wrapped to prevent fibres from floating in the air . By comparison the fiberfrax is a blended material and can be used in its processed state .

Is it a factory timing gear or aftermarket? A picture of the gear might help to see what the 2 marks are about and identify which is correct. It's number 1 for top dead centre
