Holden red 308 block and Holden Blue 308 block differences please?
Hi all.
Is it possible to use red 308 internals (everything) and heads straight swap into a blue 308 block from a WB Holden?
Reason behind my question is the original red 308 has a score down the boar too deep to repair and I have a bare blue 308 block I could use.
Thanks in advance.

If your red crank is an earlier one that uses a neoprene rear main seal then you'll need to sort something out with the rope seal block, but otherwise everything will fit. Obviously you'll need the same bell housing pattern too.

I just wanted to make sure the block's deck height was the same (I hope I'm explaining that right). Will the crank, con-rods and pistons all fit the same? Piston will pull up before hitting the spark plug etc?

I look at the forum every week. It’s good to see it still has activity as I use no other social media.
Wow where has everyone gone
