    Default WB Master Cylinder Diffferences?

How can one tell if a WB master cylinder is suited to a disc/drum set up or disc/disc set up ?
Have inherited a complete WB cylinder and matching booster with my project HZ ute and am liking the idea of the inbuilt proportioning valve, running standard front discs, standard rear drums.
From the inbuilt proportioning valve I have the two smaller outlets from the bigger front reservoir (front circuit I assume) and a larger single outlet from the smaller back reservoir (rear circuit?)
From what I can gather pretty much straight fit up with some piping alterations to accommodate metric and positioning and I'm away, don't need any remote proportioning valve as a standard HZ would normally have ?
Just need to confirm disc/drum application is ok and what differences within master cylinder to for disc/drum to disc/disc
    Cheers

    hi
The PBR part no might either be cast or printed into housing . Some report coloured paint marking. This applied to the earlier proportioning valve maybe its the same for later WB style ???
The earlier separate valve has different length springs disc vs drum rear brakes the wire diameter was the same all models .

But correct u will need to identify disc/disc or disc/drum and master cyl port connection location for the F/R circuits .

Did the WB have the option of rear drums? If it did, it will probably have a Residual Line Pressure valve in the outlet port, where the brake line screws in. RLPV is only used with drum brakes, not discs.
If you look in the port openings, you should see a brass ferrule [ the tube seat ]. The RLPV consists of a rubber plug & spring behind the ferrule. Get a piece of thin straight wire like a paper clip. Poke it in the hole in the ferrule. If there is no RSLP, then the wire should go through to the main bore; if there is a RLPV valve there, wire will hit it almost straight away.
Many brands did away with the RLPV, deemed as unnecessary.

I think GTO is on the money, disc/drum master cylinder should have a residual pressure valve. I think the disc/disc might be a bigger bore too but not sure on that.

Appears there is no valve in mine, wire pokes right through into the chamber of the main body, tried to add photo of port but not happening!
    Cheers for help
