Spark Plug thread and seat repair kits

Hi Guys has anyone successfully used a thread repair kit (ie Helicoil etc) to repair a damaged
spark plug seat and thread on a Holden Red six?

Yes, but it was in the early 90’s when I was an apprentice and we used to fix things not just replace parts.
I’m sure there is someone with some more relevant and modern info on where you can get a helicoil kit that size or a business that can help you out.

Have you asked any of your local engine reco/cylinder head shops?

Thanks mate but no l haven't done any professional enquiries yet. It's not a big $ head or anything but l like to fix things if possible rather than just swap out stuff.
