Default Ya ain't going to believe this.....

I ordered a dizzy from Summit online & got notification on Tues that it had shipped [ with DHL ]. It was on my door step at 7.15 this morning...

Meanwhile, back at the ranch.....waiting for a parcel to arrive, coming from one Syd suburb to my Syd suburb, picked up by the ever useless AP on Aug 24. Scomo should have fired Holgate sooner..

    Wow!

Kicking myself I inadvertently chose Global Shipping Network with my last Summit order on 13/8 instead of DHL. Got notifications it was in Sydney on 25/8. Aus Post got it yesterday.

Bought a carby off a guy in Queensland last weekend. He posted it on Monday, I received in Geelong Wednesday. Mad, mad, mad world

.. I ordered a Fluidmaster part from Amazon USA on Aug 27 (it was far cheaper than the same item in Oz)

The label on the shippingbag says.. it was packed and despatched that same day Aug27
by Amazon Fulfillment Services North Las Vegas

    It arrived today.. Sep3!

And AusPost have shut their parcel delivery service pickup as of 0700 this morning
until 11.59pm next Tuesday.. to deliver ONLY the parcels they already have
Maybe Amazon should buy AustPost ... the service would improve me thinks!

Fairly much the same on this side of the ditch. Ordered gaskets from ZZP in the US and had them at my door in 5 days. Ordered stuff locally in Auckland and it can take just as long. It does depend on the shipper though. Ordered part from ebay US and 3 weeks it's still not here, ordered part from Amazon last week and already have it.

Same here. Last week Ordered Conrod Bolts from Summit, ordered Thurs, arrived following Thursday. ( UPS) , Got a pulley set coming now. Ordered on the 30th, I know it's in Tullamarine Facility . Pretty good. Best is Ordered Trutrac on a Tuesday , was here Friday morning. Bloody incredible compared to our local AusPost etc.

I felt bad and didn't want to annoy you after the help you gave me and I've been stupid busy at work, I got a forward piston from your contact but I struggled to get a direct after many phone calls, every week I don't use the car costs me 15+ dollars in rego and sunny days make it worse.

I've dummied up all I can with what I have, its definitely been a new experience but it's also not as scary as I thought.

If your mate does a run of billet pistons I'll buy them, just to have spares. When it's time to play valve body I'll get in touch.

I have heaps of photos, I'll create a story in old mates T400 thread where I have read a hundred times, when I can get things done and do something it will be an idiots guide.
