    Default 308 mechanical fuel pump

    Gday all

    Does anyone know of a good 308 mechanical fuel pump for a 308 making 400 hp

    .. the Commodore racers in the 80s and the Torana circuit guys prior during the 70s
    used what is commonly called the L34 pump..

    7psi on a 3/8 line .. you can still get them today

    Haven't tried it myself but this has been mentioned several times on this forum:

    (You have to change the lever around so you'll need an original pump for parts too)

    Yes I wasnít sure if the old L34 would keep but, but I guess if they were screaming around curcuits using them

    Yeh, they didn't have 400hp though. The robbmc is well regarded. Up to 550hp for the std one. I have one, not run yet though. Someone in oz sells them ready to bolt to a holden V8.

    they had .. more!

    the circuit racers were looking at 420, 430 hp with those L34 pumps
    and were running 6 + hours up and down a mountain

    Didn't know that. I assumed they had less than the early Group A's.
