Default Help to ID rims - Holden HQ-era GTS?

    Hi guys,

Trying to ID these rims so that I can help a mate sell them. From looking on eBay, they appear (to me) to be HQ-era GTS wheels. They're 14 x 6.

But on the rear they say 'MADE IN CANADA'. My mate's curious if they could be some kind of Pontiac wheel?

I'm yet to confirm fitment/stud pattern, but 90% sure they are HQ/Chev pattern. I'll rip a wheel off my car soon to check for sure, but just haven't got around to that yet.

    Thoughts?

They are Holden HQ era rims
The JK also tells you it doesn't have the extra safety bead

The later Aussie ones are marked with Holden and are a JJ, they have the double safety bead.

Smitty, those look like 14" centres in Drop Band 15" outers???

Pontiac Rally II, and they come in 15" from the factory, bigger centres, that's what I cut up for my Hatchback when 265-50-14 Tyres became almost impossible to buy a number or years ago now.

Early HQ GTS rim, same as Pontiac Rallye IIs. Not sure where the changeover was but later GTS rims where made in Australia from what I understand.

Might be worth something to a purest restoring an early GTS.

    Thanks all, appreciate the feedback.

Apparently these original early versions (Pontiac Rallye II) with the single (JK) safety bead were fitted to HQs (HQ GTS, HQ SS and any other optioned up at the time) for the first 2-3 years before GMH moved across to ROH built rims (JJ) - (which also then had slightly different offsets and colours).

The set of 4 sold for $1,040 on ebay, so more than happy with that. There's a lot more out there advertised at much higher prices. These 'old car parts' prices continue to amaze me.
