purchased custom spec ,,,4 into 1 1-7/8 pri 3inch collector , collector spears

1/ speed of manufacturing 7.5 /10 good around 2 weeks
2/ condition of tubes from being mandrel bent 7.5/10 All benders leave marks but this set had minimal still require linishing and soft media blast needed prior to coating
3/ welding good for majority except between mid 2 cylinders flange face need redoing and grinding excess weld from inside primary
4/ collectors alignment not sitting central with spear . On purpose dunno??? They will be notified of this .
5/ all cut tubing contain burrs --- kinda telling about attitude I think
6/ customer service does not always repeat to maker instructions even when emailed


cheaper than custom but expensive for what they are . Overall satisfactory 6.5 /10

Comparo to Hurricane 4 into 1 ,,1 3/4 pri ,, 3 inch collector coated

**** these primaries cover alot of the exhaust port .. Some usa pipes can be flared to a larger size closer to port shape to get around shrouding . Does not happen in ozzy.

1/ manufacturing time 6.5/10 coating was also done
2/ Condition of tubes alot of bender jaw mark damage 6 /10
3/ oxy bungs welded to inside of collector
4/ coating did not cover all areas 5 /10
5/ rust pimples present easily polished off but will return once used

NB if tubes are properly dressed by linishing and soft media blast 99% weld debris removed .Once coated defects will be minimised.

Did you email a production header company with a list of requests for a production pipe set?

This above is not a comparison just a report really . I did save some monies compared to full custom .

The positive is all are full mandrel smooth radius bends . By comparison custom shops may not have selection of different radius bends for tight spots etc .

Enquired about custom made ,only came up with 2 sources 3000$ for above, minimum .coated.
Enquired production pipe company ,,99% donot have the jigs. Should have pushed pacemaker more.

CAE was the best allrounder not full featured custom shop but not the price either .
Although custom shop might address concerns a lot better .

The passenger side was tacked together incase I have issues with aircon .Another positive .

Even rare in the USA 13/4 flared to fit into 1/78 adapter plate headers .Allows big head port with smaller/ right size pipes. Unheard of in ozzy.
