    hi
Tap water contains chemicals that consume the ability of coolant .After a flush with tap and water pressure neutralising additives is done with chemical free distilled water rinsing done 2-3 times. Its the water debris but mainly the chemicals that reduce the service life of new coolant .

Many other chemicals u add water to its also recommended to use neutralised water for best as advertised performance.

Ok, I started this, drained the old coolant and took a look around in the manifold and old coolant in the pan. There is a bit of corrosion in there, in the manifold too. I’d like to clean this out before filling it up with distilled water and then flushing it out again. What do you guys recommend as a cleaner?

Never done this before so have no clue. What’s the best way to go about this?

This seems to have good ratings.

Is it simply, fill up the system with water (distilled), add the cleaner and drive around a few days before flushing? Or does it need premix coolant along with the cleaner?

I also need a new heater house to the thermostat housing and it has a cut. *rolls eyes*

    HI

    https://www.autolinkparts.com.au/loctite-radiator-cleaner-flush-ideal-for-alloy-hea

    Loctite Fmc1
Available online or good auto parts store

drop system water by 1/2 ltr approx
This powder is best pre-dissolved in bucket 1/2 ltr water
    Fill rad
drive for 20minutess and reverse flush radiator and block

2 bottles will strip a really dirty cooling system and send it all into the radiator core.. Radiator will then need to be removed for service at rad shop .

    This stuff works .

I'm about to fill her back up with coolant after dissolving the corrosion. How many litres of premix coolant do these blocks/3 core radiators take?

I used up 7 litres of distilled water during the clean out process, 8 litres would have filled it right up.

Should I fill the reservoir with a quarter of premix coolant (around 500ml) and then the rest of the 5.5 litres premix straight into the radiator and add some distilled water to top it up?

Repco is an agent for them.
    Head office is in Kilsyth.

Nothing else on the market comes close to this stuff.

Haven't tried it in a parts washer yet but the time will come.....
