Griffin 750usd not even going to bother +++PLUS transport and taxes
ozzy
PWR Rad 1300$ delivered
ALL above have 2 x 1.25 tubes and trans cooler

Mate I got a Worley radiator for the VH. It was around $190. Pretty sure it’s a Aussie middleman who has a source of cores from China.
The trick is they do 2 styles. One is 57mm core and the other 63mm. I only had to trim the rad support a bit to clear the tanks.
Long story short I have driven a Qld 33degree peak hour with a single 14in hi flow Davis Craig fan. It doesn’t overheat.
Maybe I was lucky. Who knows.

hi
Worley, not suitable for application small tubes , core area not big enough. Would suit a very mild build. Thanks for suggestion.

I think I paid 120 bucks for a chinese ally rad with plastic tanks from autobarn, seems to work ok.

These guys are the Aussie version of Griffin.
I like the cheapo chinese radiators as well, I dont care what they look like, they just seem to work.

Race radiators is who I got the current rad for the race car from ... beautifully made
up for cooling 600hp in my case . They customise it for your fan set up too

I've used Afco double pass with no problems at all, used with an electric water pump.Last edited by conrod0; 24-02-2021 at 09:40 AM.

I've seen a couple of people use factory VE 6.0L radiators (and the factory electric fans) on H-series. Apparently they work really well.

hi
Hq308 good idea .. Might drop by the wreckers and measure one .
Smitty2 & HQ368
Tried and quoted on Race. They cannot do internal trans cooler . Aircon condenser gets in the way little or no room for external cooler.
Certain members are using Camaro radiators 2 core cross flow in Melb
Difference is not only build quality but the quality of material. Cheap cars use aluminium parts/materials that have very very good likley hood of corrosion badly even if compromised a small amount . Quality aluminium lasts along time .
The Cold Case radiator is made 100% in Thailand . I have seen one at a car show attached to a 383sbc although
I donot no the owner .. I suspected it was a Cold Case but had to confirm after wards .Last edited by swampy; 24-02-2021 at 06:31 PM.

Mate of mine that has a 400 Pontiac engine in a HQ has fitted a VE radiator, but it was not a direct fit, had to do some cobbling.

Also block off any bleed-off areas around and above the radiator.Last edited by conrod0; 25-02-2021 at 09:20 AM.

yup....always forget about that aspect of this as I am using the genuine Holden
police setup that does that (being that I have a genuine BT1 Interceptor as a base for the race car)
I also use the rad top baffle as well

Hi there, I bought a $215 radiator of Ebay , sourced from America. suit 85 Camaro. Run with AU fans, had it a long time now. Run a 406 SBC with 650HP. Can sit in bumper to bumper traffic all day in 38 deg heat. Lucky to get to 190 deg. I like Race Radiators but $$$ are a bit of a hindrance for some people. Not necessarily will work any better .
