Can any one give me the dimensions of support panel radiator opening width and height ?????
Hq have a very small radiator compared to almost all chevy vehicles ...

Don't be sucked into a double pass rad. And if it is going to see some rpm, switch to a cross flow if you can. More info: www.stewartcomponents.com

If I were to remove my radiator the rectangular hole in the rad support panel it bolts over measures 695mm x 365mm

I have an ADRAD std 3 core auto replacement copper brass HQ with sbc. Single 10” Davies Craig thermo in the middle. Wieand alloy street series water pump. 383 sbc with alloy heads. Simple or ‘Basic’ cooling system, never an overheating problem.

-been down the road of crossflow. In short works if the rad support was designed for it this includes electric fan fit up .Together with Lower bonnet lines and remote pressurised coolant reservoirs . As i`ve said Holden radiators are small and have little room to move . Basically an economy version of a chevy. Compared WB to HQ no real benefit.

Alloy core I am looking into is 622 W x 383H
622mm is stock alloy core width
360 is stock alloy core height ///increased for thermo fan shroud to 383mm ---fans are 350mm
might increase width a little approx 20mm rubber mounts need to be considered

Yep, 695mm. See in pic below it’s not a true rectangular opening. Rad mount bolt top right.

overflow bung, consider location of where (if you plan to instal one) the catch can will go. Most places just put it in the side of the filler neck. The other thing I am planning to do on my next one is have a way to screw in a sacrificial anode. I have a pesky small electric draw I have not been able to find and it's slowly killing my radiator. I can't use an in cap one. But there are screw in ones. Just a thought.

Pic confirms what I thought support panel is a weird shape . Some people do trim panel to get a larger rad installed . I will go to as large as possible within the factory mounts .
Large wavy 2 x 1 1/4 tubes with R shaped heavy duty fins 16 FPI

Any chance of measuring mount hole width side/side distance ?????

Take a look at your coolant pH, aim for 7.0

Many aftermarket rads are smaller so be-aware . The core drawing PWR supplied was smaller in some areas .

Elec Fans are typically 350 x 350mm so core height is ok but width is still but with means a fan shroud is needed say 25-32mm wide min .[core is 635mm fans are 700mm so overlap of 65mm or 32.5 per side ]
