Is it me or is second hand getting expensive?
Wow. Just looked at it again. Reserve reached at $121 big ones.
I like how in the description it says:
. Exterior: Some paint loss and small rust spots
And under features
. Power steering
First bid $9
Fourth bid $2,009
Fifth bid is where things departed from reality $73,009
Interestingly that guy has not bid again.

hi
barn rust factory = place of storage ... then some rip-off merchant found it .....the rest is will/ be history
Respray only and pity the next owner if there is no proof of repair ,,, then ,, rust breaking out every where
badly damaged body ,,well worn/deteriorated int.ext..... engine bay in poor cond . .. missing parts..... Non Group A == very low price ???? Group A = not more than 20,000$
At 100,000$ Alot better cars on the market than this easily .!!!!!!

I just looked through the latest Shannons auction results emailed to me.
A 1974 Datsun 1200 ute went for $17 000, a 1977 Honda Accord went for $36 250
, an 63 EH Special sedan only managed a miserable $21 500 but a 64 EH premier almost tripled that at $63 500 as some examples.
WTF is wrong with these people and what am I missing with these old rego plates, many of them selling in the hundred and two hundred thousands?

White collar types looking for investments. Some kind of aura around old cars value at the moment. Nostalgia has taken hold in modern society psyche increasing the value, ne price of all things old, even what was junk only a few years ago.
1977 Honda Accord 36 big ones, give me a break!

hi
IT`s only worth money like that if its all numbers matching .Oh yea rust free, it`s not. Many a factory part missing ,not even an attempt to restore this vehicle has been done . A true slapper . Lack of effort is thru out .
HJ onwards centre console
Exhaust needs the ass eng pipes / muff hangers/ t pipes all have issues
engine sump real quality work
trans crossmember not for a stocker
rear swaybar only work if the front end has aggressive turn in
tail shaft loop really
No effort for engine bay
belt buckles/ belts not period
All repairable
Oh yea Monaro the differences are trim / engine brand beyond that nothing Only slightly special .

Mate bought a pretty rare 1930s Rolls Royce for investment, paid 250K for it. Sounding a bit cheap compared to some of the above prices...

Hi
Proof of body dipping and rotisserie rebuild required and should be demanded by all serious car enthusiasts . Many including the Monaro needs a rebuild done properly . A rusty car stays a rusty car unless done properly or 5 more tins of bog LOL.
