Iíll say it again, I find it interesting of how some people try and recover their cost.

Carby below I sold for $540 + postage. An 850 Demon I returned to factory specs:

The buyer is advertising the 750 that it is replacing. He is asking $580 for the below carby:

Seen a lot better out there for that coin.

Thatís funny as I know a guy that sold me a mint 750 Demon that had just been optimized and had a genuine gasket kit in it for not much more than what that guy is selling his old 750.

I am hoping that little bit extra was worth it compared to what this guy is asking for.

Spotted his for sale. Vacuum secondary with mechanical linkage with no vacuum pot or secondary acc pump? What new kind of hybrid is it? According to the seller itís a Genuine Holley 750 vacuum secondary, or to use their spelling Ďsecondairyí.

The only thing Holley about that is the box. That's a cheap chinese knock off carb, I wouldn't take it if it was free. A 3310S is silver not gold and has all the vacuum secondary gear.

Absolutely a Chinese knock off, (I was being facetious in previous post) and if the seller wasn't duped into buying it he knows what he is doing. Someone has scored a Holley box off a mate and using it to flog off a piece of sh*t they were suckered into buying.

But whose worse, him or the guy asking $1650 for a Street HP (part number in photo, can buy x2 for that price) and calling it an Ultra HP. Some unaware poor bugger may even talk him down a few hundred yet still not get what they thought they were buying. Even said in ad "gone e85 and bought new carby". He knows what he paid for the Street HP, f#*$ing rude to cover the cost of change of mind like that.

Maybe karma will come and bite him and the guy with the Holley box on the ass.

I just got 2 brake drums sandblasted.
$50. Seemed a bit steep to me..
These operators know they have got you over a barell when you can do it yourself..

    Hi
If u could get new drums ?? At least the 50$ would have contributed , OR have a good brake place machine and beadblast the drums at same time .OR have a good compressor a blast gun and a bag of super fine glass garnet . [s/fine is to coarse for alloy and good [non critical ] mech components . For critical parts use glass bead .

Hi mate. They are F100 drums. Bigger than Salisbury, which I found very hard to acquire. Already dual drilled, so they will fit my wheels.
I'm half way through modifying them, so I'll keep going..I think the finished product will be worth it. Plus they have new shoes and only cost me a slab..or case as you call it in QLD..

I was looking for one of these proportioning valves 12 months ago, the only one I could find was $595 record.

Ended up getting a kit and doing it myself.

    hi
Holden stuff is getting pricey mainly caused by ebay gold diggers .

Buying a proportioning valve is still cheap. Almost always they have to be overhauled. Always used as a toilet by the master cyl. Finding the correct rear disc spring is the challenge. O ring kit and glass bead blast is about 20$.
