Default Reproduction Walkinshaw & VN Group A manifolds

Looks like reproduction Walky & Grp A manifolds are very close to being available to the public for ol' holden v8 diehards....pricing for complete kit without airbox $8500 or parts can be bought individually.

Iíve seen them on FB. Would be interesting to know if they have done dyno testing on their new copies of the originals. I see the majority of components have ĎMR TTBí cast into them, canít say Iím a fan of that.
Anyway, well done to him for stepping up and making them, time will tell if they perform well and the $8500 price tag is worth it.

I would say he has done that so people can see where they come from and not be passed off as originals, since they have been 3D scanned I am sure they will be pretty much on par

Yeh I figured that. Iím sure he has done his homework but only time will tell how they go in both making power, drive ability, even air distribution and even A/F ratios.

When they are ready to go, he is going to sell heaps! So won't take long for people to start testing them and what not

Great work but 8K is still big coin for an intake.

F&$king oath. I wonder if the $8000-8500 asking price includes plastic air cleaner housing, piping etc? Otherwise getting one set up and ready to run could end up around $10k.

He has posted saying he is going to get the air boxes made up, I like the fact he has gone to the effort to source/make all the fiddly bits like grommets and the weird size T/B's

Grp A & Perkins airbox will be fibreglass reproductions...unsure if Walky is available

Guess the market mainly for blokes who remember when those intakes were the gun status thing to have on your car 'cos not many people had them or could afford it...that was before prices went through the roof.

If the reproductions turn out to be a good usable thing will be a lot of twin throttles out the bonnet at car shows.

There is only two things I would cut a hole in my bonnet for is a twin throttle setup or a whipple
