Another 308 post
Scat crank was in the $500 mark. Eagle chev 6 inch rods off eBay around $300. DSS forged 383 pistons from summit around $580 at my door. Took me around a year waiting for “the bargain”. Didn’t balance though. Ran out of money. Doh!

Offset grind cranks are usually used with 265 Hemi conrods which these days are probably pretty thin on the ground and that's possibly why the crank is cheap. Unless you can get a whole rotating assembly (crank, rods & pistons) it'll most likely be easier and cheaper just to buy a 355 Scat crank & rods and pistons to suit.

Its a fresh ground crank ,found out it comes with rods to suit with arp bolts all resized never been in a engine just need to get 327 chev pistons im thinking i might go for it, might help make the vn heads work a little better, a little stroker might be cool👍

Since it comes with all that (crank, rods & bolts) and you just need pistons that 330 stroker sounds like a good option.
Many years ago an old mate had a 330 stroker and it went well and he revved it hard.
Noting your going to use a cam similar to a 288 and your using VN heads, around 11:1 comp, I’m going to join in with Pauly and say stick a decent single plane on it and rev it...

Will confirm on rods going to look at it / grab it friday , i do want a single plain but the end goal is just to get it running first in the car and well if i have to cut a hole in the bonnet big woop geez it would look awesome with that haha also went and brought a 2 inch bakerlite 4 hole spacer for under the carb , id like to name a certain company but i wont i wanted to put in a order with them 1800+ for rollers balancer sump ect .. but they would not match vpw pricing ( out of stock and im impatient) i always thought they would price match.
