Car so far
Th400 4000 stally
10bolt cut down and locked with 4.44s
Was 308 but keeps killing cams so iv come to the conclusion that iv had enough and want to go fast and blaze tyres the cheapest possible way but as always it snowballs into make it live a little longer and go better on minimal $

Despite being a 308 tragic I think you are on the right track !
LS engines love the high RPM abuse, and when they do let go another standard short isn't too far away.
What are the engine details ?

I still love the 308 and have just picked up a solid roller and VL heads set up for the cam for $500 mite get that until I finish getting all the bits
Ls1 stock except ported and shimmed mellings oil pump, timing chain kit, home ported 241 heads decked .050th, double springs 236-246@50 on 110 lsa cam, .100th flycuts pistons will probably get a set of race series big ends a a fresh set of ringsLast edited by 10WHK; 05-09-2018 at 04:03 PM.

Of getting mini tubbed at the moment,
I had 275s squeezed under standard guards but now hoping for 295-305s

15x8 3.5 backspace and 275s
diff is 55mm shorter either side and uses VN Borg Warner short side axles in both sides machined to suit HQ drums and the wheelsLast edited by 10WHK; 04-09-2018 at 08:18 PM. Reason: Shit spelling

Any advice on my motor and things I should look into would be handy
I have a 4000 stally now but have a 5000 that’ll be easily had, pushing towards the 5g, I know it’ll be good for drags but not sure about burnouts being so high, also have a 850 demon or an old 950 HP Holley that I can use
How do burnout cars go with 4.44 gears I know it should pull top gear easy but will it have enough wheel speed, or just run tall light truck tyres to get the speed up 28in tall 235s can be had at a cheap price
