Hz wagon Ls1 burnouts and drags

Hopefully there is enough time haha it is a drivable car now with a 308 but has a couple lobes worn off

iv got all the bits for the conversion just need to finish the donk and hope the pipes fit🤞 2nd hand Castle headers but they have been slightly modified previously doesn’t look like it should be a problem if it is I’ll just modify the engine mounts till they do

Bank decided they’d love for me to go to Summernats so got plenty extra dollars and limited time haha.

I’ll pay for the entry in the next week, if it doesn’t make it at least I’ll have a bigger camping spot,

Bloke in my car club rough quoted me $1800 for covering seats and making the rear fit around the tubs

getting excited it’s been 2 years since I drove it last time and I’m excited about blazing tyres may do a Madaz event before as a test just in case I look like an idiot haha

Block had a quick hone, heads are ready to pick up and only a couple pistons left to clean then throw it all back together

Yeah they don’t look to bad and it prolly won’t last long enough to kill them haha, iv done a big order of bits today hopefully they’ll turn up before the weekend so I can get a bit more excited

Pistons are back in also and it turns over so must be right, ring gaps about .023 out of the packet

Dec 8 is Madaz, fingers crossed skids on mite not have interior sorted but hopefully it’ll be running and blazing tyres

Trying haha works busy as so I gota try and do little bits in between paying jobs and also stop in on my 1 day off, it’s the car event slog that if you don’t do it, it never happens

Did you cut into the rail when doing those mini tubs or is it just sanded smooth ? Having a wagon makes it a bit easier..... no rear firewall to contend with !

Yeah mate about an inch and a half, diffs 55mm shorter each side and I wanted to fit commy pursuit rims so they tuck in away from the rear quarters should also fit 295s on 10in rims easy

you’ll have to come have a look and say gday at the Nats next year, I’ll be there even if the cars not my bro has a tidy HZ stato that’ll take its spot if it doesn’t make it or my HK prem but I’ll worry about that if it comes to it

Only problem with tubs in the wagon is making the rear seat fit and making it look neat again, hopefully the upholstery bloke in my car club can sort it for less then a house deposit haha
