.. an update finally!
(been travelling and working long hours)
Virgin 304 (VL) block out 20, all the usual block prep stuff, machining and balancing by A-One Race engines, (early) VL 304 cylinder heads by Chris of... Chris Porting Service
and assembly by Mark at Autocure and yours truly. Plus new ASR 'circuit' sump (the old one caught all the bits from the exploding engine and was rather 2ndhand) plus
my usual oil pump mods (similar to TKs !) as usual . Add SRP forged flattops giving 10.5 comp, should be good ! Now to throw it in the car and run it in...
pics will follow__________________________________

yes mate...
all back together, has been reinstalled in the car (and then off travelling for work)
when I got back mid-February (thank Christ all my work travel then got cancelled
as i was meant to fly to the UK on Mar24 for 3 weeks)
got my mate Krakers at Autocure to book a session on his chassis dyno
The weekend prior, I did the first job... start it and run the cam in
all good, immediate oil pressure and no leaks, no funny noises
and then to Autocure to run the (CrMoly) rings in ....
20 mins in.. the rad* splits thebottom 3 tubes and dumps
all the water (no coolant) on the workshop floor.

I look at the forum every week. It’s good to see it still has activity as I use no other social media.
Wow where has everyone gone
