There are some nice colours in HG era that look awesome, some with or some without a white roof. Like Yellow Dolly, Aegean Aqua, Rally Red, Plum Dinger, Brooklands Blue. Here are 1970 colours, there is a 1971 chart too:

After a 2 year break and not being able to travel I’ve dusted off the old HG and getting stuck back in to it.
Currently organising parts for braided power steering lines but can’t find any information on the Subaru liberty rack on my McDonald Bro’s front end so I can order the right fittings for it and I can’t find out if I need to run a pressure control valve on my LS1 power steering pump or if I can just run a bump tube fitting with a -6 head on it...
I also need to find a good auto sparky between Mandurah and Perth if anyone has recommendations.
Sorted the radiator hoses the other day and fitted lowered rear leaves and new pedders shocks. Baby steps...

Mine is a pig with some lipstick shoved on it
I don’t have much money to throw at a car. He’s just a good bloke who knows his shit and will work on anything. He’s done my work van with an inverter and extra battery setup which is in an LDV. I’ve done 85,000km in the van with no issues.
I’ve seen him fix wiring issues on a VP LS1 race car.
I have been ripped off by plenty of guys in the car scene and now I make sure I use quality people that I can trust.

Stripped and loaded. Ready for blasting and then off to the paint shop for a few months.

As far as rust goes, there were a few pin holes in the floor and a previous repair on the passenger sill and a few dents here and there.

A couple of last minute modifications before it goes for panel and paint. Hopefully see it painted by the end of the year.
