under carpet sound deadener??

has any tried that silver sound deadener inside/under their carpet??

is it any good and is it better than the normal foam underlay.....

im just about to fit something of the sort as i currently have nothing except the carpet and it generates alot of road noise and heat in and around the trans tunnel.

Resomat sort of stuff? It works. Basically. I've not used it but it's well known as a proven product though i believe it's a case of you get what you pay for.

yeah similar to the resomat....same stuff but a different name....i never realised how expensive that resomat shyt is!.....im kinda leaning towards the foam rubber underlay due to prices. The resomat stuff would be more exe than the carpet itself.

theres a carpet joint round the corner that always has leftover rolls of 12-15mm underlay.....i used this stuff in my old hq pano in the back of it and it worked a treat.

rarespares have the resomat stuff in a roll to do a complete car and the owner swore by it as he used it in his corvette..

Works REALLY well. HQ doors sound like a new car closing

^^^^ I put the same eBay stuff as pont69 on the floor and up the firewall of my hq while I had the interior out doing the g/box conversion, it works pretty well for noise and the wife reckons its not as hot on the floor and trans tunnel as it used to be.
I've already decided ill be doing the LE floor and firewall with it instead of that hessian shit it had in it, will do the doors as well

was the 35 sq ft big enough for the q, i want to make sure i get enough for the ute, want to do the whole interior, everything thats not glass pretty much
