The 308 offset ground stroker uses a 350 piston and you deck the block to suit. If you use a 327 piston you will need to machine the top about 0.100".

  1. Hey mate thanks for the forum link... I have found sumps, engine mounts and headers at the decent price but have been told to run the L98 computer I'm going to have to spend 2.5k on wiring.? That seems crazy. Do you know of any other way? Cheers

    Hi Andrew,

Happened to be trawling the threads trying to find a decent tuner in Canberra. Did see one where you mentioned to a guy in Sydney if he bought it to Canberra you can sort it out

Just wondering what you are able to do or if you know a good tuning place. I have a VK Commodore with a 355 stroker, the engine was built in Melbourne and put in a number of years back. Once in the car it has never felt right, always seems to hesitate when planting it until it reaches high in the rev range where it then seems to unleash.

Just feels as though someone that knows what they are doing needs to get their hands on it and give it a tune?

any help or ideas on a good place to take it to would be great!

    Cheers
    Cameron
  3. Hi Bang, yes, you can have the short motor with all you describe (only thing I want is the VN style sump) for $500.
You will have to pick it up, I am in Canberra. You can call me on 0410 526675. Thanks.... Andrew

    Hey Pal..
Just wondering if you are interested in selling just the block of the VR motor? I am looking at building a motor soon, and I'm in need of a 304 EFI block, with things like push rods, timing belt, water pump etc. I don't need things like starter motor, dizzy, heads, the EFI stuff (inc computer, wiring etc). Please let me know if your keen on selling that stuff (so pretty much the bottom half - complete), along with a price. Thanks pal
