    Question 308 Brake Booster and Emission Hoses

    Hi All
    would anyone have a phote or diagram tha shows where the brake booster hose, and emission hoses run? After fitting a 308, which is a blue motor with a 600 holley fitted. This motor when it was removed and sold to me had very little if the way of these still fitted.

    Mate Ive fitted this into a 1958 Dodge pickup, wanted the extra power of the 308 to replace the side valve six

    HI
    emissions requirement of the vehicle == none

    distributor vac hose
    booster hose
    pcv hose [valve cover to breather ] [air cleaner to valve cover ]
    Delete EGR

    Hi Swampy
    Thanks for that info, sorry to take so long in replying. Only problem I have is this blue motor was converted unleaded heads, it doesn't seem to have the 3 way piece on the air manifold to supply vacuum for my brake booster. It has me scratching my head how they ran it previously. Cheers Jenko

    Hi Swampy
    Sorry to but in on this thread guys but....

    Just wondering how to tell if my blue308 is a standard bore or not without measuring the piston or bore as I don't have the tools to measure it, Their is nothing stamped on the piston at all.
    How do I tell if they are genuine piston.
    Also the engine number starts with 12WT which to me is a late statesman however the build date says 10M1.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Pretty sure PCV was not used in 1958, still used a road draft tube. PCV is certainly a good idea if it can be fitted.
