Default How do you deal with having builders block?

Hey guys so Iíve been slowly working on my kingswood for the best part of 6 months and lately for the past month I canít even look at let alone work on it I honestly donít understand it, I found out I may have a heart condition recently and the only thing that keeps me calm is working on the old girl but itís just recently stressing me out

I go through similar phases on a car I'm building. Sometimes all I do is crack a beer and look at it. I do find when I have shiny new parts (or even new to me second hand ones) I get keen again for a while. I also have a big white board with all the jobs to do written on it. Even crossing out little ones feels good.

When I am not thinking about my car, I'm thinking about my motorbike. When I am sick of bikes I go back to the car.
It's an infinite circular spiral I am forever travelling on.

To be honest, I plan some jobs to be done, put the rego on hold for 3months, and try to get lots done before going back on the road. Then I don't pick up a spanner for a good week or so once done. Deadlines, thats how I keep motivated.

Yeah I can totally understand that, but I recently found out that I have a heart condition but they are confirming it all within the next 19 weeks

What have they advised you about your heart? Don't increase your heart rate too much and you will go okay sort of deal?

Get a mate over with frustrating parts of the build. A friendly face and alternative view to the issue often makes it calming and easier to get through.

I hope the doc's come back to you with good info.
