    HI
    Factory shifter
In a sedan same floor . The factory shifter hole is roughly a square shape with the corners cut diagonal . A hole is located in each corner . A threaded C clip is used over each corner in the floor . Then a D mastic sealer is used on edge of cut out . Shifter placed and bolted down .

I traced with paper and pencil the shape when paper was curved of the tunnel /shifter hole .

The hole is central left to right . Inline with centre of tunnel .
Front and rear positioning, its in front of the floor reinforcement ,but by how much ??????

That's good to know but the b&m shifter uses a cable setup up and not a linkage

I have a Hurst Promatic which is the same sort of set up. Mine is mounted just in front of the cross brace because I have a bench seat and need the clearance. With bucket seats you could mount it a little further back but you'd need to mount the rear of the shifter over the top of that brace. To do that you'd probably have to make some sort of mount to level the top of the hump and then weld it or use some nutserts to hold it in place.

I've mounted it now seems ok I put it just in front of the hump and used some steel plates to level it up I have a short console aswell so any further back the cover for the shifter won't clear the console amy further forward and it's to close to the dash

Sounds like it's mounted pretty much where mine is, good to see it worked out.
