Default 304 conversion into 88 vl commordore

Hi I am putting a 304 with th700 into a 88 vl commordore.factory rb30,a few questions, will the engine bolt in as it is? Will the factory diff be ok? If not would a vn V8 diff bolt in with out too much modification?

You'll need the non VL k-frame to put a 304 in, but should be plenty of those around.. I think the rack to go with it as well...

leave the factory diff for a mild engine..

Keep diff housing can convert it to 28 spline axles/lsd & disc brakes if want to do it properly for rego...can fit wider vn diff if keeping it standard height & stock rims.

For efi v8 conversion simplest way is using vn-vr v8 parts from crossmember/radiator back to front half of tailshaft then use vl rear half bolted to it..fit trimatic shifter & mod it a little to th700 adjuster rod.
