    Default Improving brakes

What are some modifications I can do to improve the brakes on my hx Holden sedan, don't want to convert them to commodore or wilwood,or anything like that. Tia

Cheapest option is HZ/WB Girlock calipers on the front with good quality pads & good quality pads or shoes up the back.

Keep everything you have, rebuild the calipers and at least clean out the rear wheel cylinders or replace. Flush the brake lines and master cylinder. And buy some PBR T2 or T3 rotors for the front, and new pads. You'll be amazed how much better they get with a freshen up with new fluid and good front rotors. New drums aren't all that dear either but of your existing ones are OK no need to change.

.. new slotted rotors with decent pads on the front (new shoes on the back)
and new fluid (assuming hydraulics are ok)

check engine vacuum for booster, anything below 10" will be shit house. Could tuning iuuse or cam motors will be low and may need electric vacuum pump added for the brakes!

Nothing wrong with well maintained original brakes in those cars, even with lousy idle vacuum.

These: T2 slot - Disc Brakes Australia

Or these: 4000 T3 - Disc Brakes Australia

Either in conjunction with the right pads will significantly improve the front brakes.

You can get both for HQ-WB. I have T3's on the front of my Hilux, and T3 front, T2 rear on my Mrs's Lexus RX350. I am putting a Rodtech front end in my HK which will have BA rotors and I will use T3's on it.

Subscribed. Do the T3 DBA discs fit with the original 14 inch wheels?

Varies depending upon the application. Talk to a brake place or better still if you know someone that can buy trade. Big markups on brake stuff retail.
