Yeah Im looking at an Eaton true track centre and Motive 3.7s (was looking 4.1 but still not sure in relation to gearbox) ratios as opposed to a minispool...minispool may be fun at times but a pita when just cruising around...lol...

Motives are no good? Spicers are only another 200 dollars but a complete rebuilt M80 Spicer/ Eaton assy is just under 1500 so yeah definitely should go that way hey... 🙂

Default 10 second VN 304 supercharged

They are junk I've had 2 sets both whined within 5k. Spend the extra.

Got about 6-7 other mates with them. All whine. We all hate them and wish we spent the extra $200.

it had std fe2 springs and pedders comfort shocks - the white ones, i dont think it was ideal setup the bumper would nearly hit the ground!! but it managed mid 1.5 60 foots. with the auto i would stall it up and the rear end would sag down, that work the best for me rather than just jumping on it. I think a lot of blokes running the irs try to stiffen em right up for less squat. I reakon will be hard to set up for a manual car

Interesting. Out of curiosity what type of lubricants did you guys use with the Motive gears?

I've already got a set of 3.73 Motive Gears so will have to use em.

    Penrite pro gear 80w140?

I hear trutrac diffs like mineral oil? Maybe that would make a difference?

80/140. Was a mineral oil. Spicer gears are $500-550 on eBay ATM. I seen some the other day. Would be crazy to not spend the extra $100-150 IMO.

I've only ever used Spicer gears and my past truetrac diffs still suffered from whining. It's all in the setup, but who cant be ****ed pulling diffs in and out and the arguing. I now use 140 Mineral Penrite. Shut it right up and it feels as good as ever
