If anyone is interested... My first burnout, legally, on a pad.
    Popped the rear left haha.

Rolled off, changed the tyres. Went to go again, f##ked the gearbox. Only have first gear, in reverse, neutral, 1, 2, 3. Dammit.

    Enjoy!!!

this is exactly what i want to do, buy an already built donor car with a 454, T400 and 9" instead of tryin to pick away at conversion parts. Ive barely even seen them for sale though, what did it sting you if you dont mind me asking? Only ones ive seen are full blown show cars that you wouldnt pull down, i just want an average beater with the basic bits in it like you found.

i know the parts can be bought new for a conversion, id rather buy 2nd hand parts and let someone else lose the money on them. Ive lost enough buying new everything in the past.

Whole car, to my front door with rego on, it mid teens.
Since then I've result the diff, new cam, carby, manifold, carpet and other odds and ends.

    Now gearbox obviously haha.

Will workout a lot cheaper run the end, selling the HJ body off, selling the WB front end, and the HQ running gear.

Well that clears it up, not! Ha ha! Private pad, I get it. Didn't think I recognised it.

I was just interested as I would love to find a spot to indulge in a legal skid once in a while somewhere local ish. I love burnouts but am not real big on the burnout comp " crowd". I'm not a show off so not big on having an audience or chasing a trophy either. Just a few mates peeling off some treads would suit me fine!

Keep having fun with it, cheers!

Sorry, should elaborate haha. Was a once off thing. Was setup at work for a celebration. I wish there was something like this local. Most fun I've had in a LONG time!
