Interesting, my Senator did the same thing with the starter when the missus was driving her. To get it to start you had to tap the starter a few times to get the solenoid moving. When we got the missus a new car and was driving the Senator it never played up again even though I have a new starter sitting there.....

When the exhaust gets it's upgrade I'll get the starter sorted too.

We gave the starter a bit of a beating, but to no avail. The solenoid was clicking fine though, just no spinning.
If you need someone to run-in that starter motor for you

Lol, yeah mate. He was in nzv8 recently, a cool car. He struggled for traction and I smoked him.

Hey mate, not sure if Petrolhead gets sent over the ditch. RedTaxi might know.
Yeah, I've sniffed that thread and he is going well. I've just completed a few upgrades to this one, including a switch to 3.45:1 diff gears. Hoping to go mid 13's or better next time out.

You'll need to do a few full throttle acceleration runs and see if it hits the limiter in 1st or 2nd before you take it racing next. We might need to alter the rev limiter or shift points to compensate.

We probably need to adjust those anyway

    Update time.
Went racing with the 3.45 diff and et streets. Super consistent (less than 0.2 variation over 7 runs including backing out early on a few) but not any quicker.
Need to sort shifts with Immortality as the last run i forced 1st gear to hold longer and picked up around 0.02 or more over previous runs, and i was hot lapping it too.
