Default Come ttb with sta supercharger tourqe?

    Hi all
I have searched for this but cant seam to find .
.my question is- dose a come ttb manifold with 6 psi boost still make good tourqe low in the rev range?

I have a extrude honed starr performance manifold as another choice

    I have a 355 in a hj statesman
Cam has about 500 thou lift
    It has good compression
Im not sure exactly on specs of engine as it came in a car i stripped.
I will be doing rings and bearings before the supercharger goes on so i will know what in the engine before its boosted

I just bought a sta supercharger setup and a copy of the come ttb its a reslly good copy fabricated runners they are 1 inch longer then Come s ttb manifold.
I was thinking of getting one of those holley forward facing tb top plates as the air is more coming down into the runners then (side ways)

I only want to run around 6psi and ill be using a barrel inline intercooler and water meth injection , i have boost operated control for that.
Any feed back is well come as i want to have it all set up befor it goes for tuning and im buying parts as they comed up for ssle at a good price
    Thanks

With 6 psi if you cant make more TQ/HP through the whole range then something is wrong...

I really just wanted to confirm that it would still be good at low rpm / around town and not be crap to drive
As i read the ttb are good at high rpm
    Thanks for the feed back

It's 355" with good comp. Not much you can do to not be torquee down low.

Yes I drive a 355 with come ttb as my 'daily' (well actually on 2 wheels most days, but, ya' know)

Have you bought the barrel intercooler? Pwr is a good brand. There not cheap though. Don't worry about water meth injection, its expensive and just a pain. Just run 8psi lol. You won't need a big intercooler for 6-8psi check out some prices on half decent air to air.

    Thanks
deuce - i will be driving it almost everyday

Circuitvk -i bought the pwr barrel for $200
Its 5"x10" just need to get the heat exchanger
The water/ meth i got with the superchanger 2x injectors intake pipe they go on and the controller that looks like its boost controlled i was thinking just to use it at 6psi or 4000rpm abouts .
The reason i thought to use a barrel instead of FMI air to air is , i want to keep the revs down so less pipe/boost comes on early er.
    Thanks

Don't think of boost as flow but pressure. You won't lose boost pressure with long pipes unless its way way to big. You won't need a intercooler at 6psi with that setup. Getting 'on boost' is just getting the compressor going, in your case engine driven so you want it to rev quick, good exhaust ect. Don't worry about revs just get it tuned properly and you will know what it can do safely then. If I was you I would bolt up the bananas manifold and supercharger, no intercooler (yet) or water/meth and just run as much psi as it can safely hold. This will be the cheapest way to have it tuned as well

    Hi
    Thanks for the advice
Yer i wont do the water / meth
But theres not much room left on the parts shelf
You think i should use my starr manifold over the ttb?
    Thanks

personally.. i would use the Starr manifold. The COME setup has some distribution problems that when supercharged are only made worse.. but it's a nice piece of jewelry.. that's my 2cents.

Yea bananas/Starr are a tried and tested manifold for those type of superchargers, especially if you want to keep the revs down

Its not the COME one it seems its a sheet intake, or some sort of fabricated unit guys...

The COME one I assume has distribution issues due to the location of the front mounted TB, if this one has a top like a Holley Hi-ram it wont be as bad..

yeah.. i dunno about that one.. but the guy said he was a power at lower revs guy.. i'd still go the Starr. there's a caveat here as well.. Pauly here is a no holds barred high rev guy..
