For the record Iím not saying dual plane is the go, just saying there is more to it than simply single vs dual.

True, the dual planes for what I like are a no go... If I could I would like tunnel rams on everything, there you have your longer runner and your straight shot, line of sight into the port... Moot point in this instance with the bonnet clearance but yeah, The LS series intakes got a good compromise as they are a flattened ram but Efi only of course..

If you google some manifold heights there is a list on the net I found (I should have saved a copy) that compares the Harrops (single & dual) , the single plane COME, the Edelbrock Air Gap & Single plane and the Torque Power Dual and single planes.

I noticed you said Cam is 230 - 250 @ .050 duration. There is a big difference between the two. If you have a 230 @.050 you will get away with the 3000 stall in a 355 if you have at least mid 3ís in the ass end.

A 250 @ .050 Cam will want a lot lot more than a 3000 stall to make it go... and it will also want a single plane intake.
Sorry mate typo, my engine builder is ordering in a custom grind cam but has not done it yet but he said it will be in the rang of 225 to 230 @ .050 duration..

Its a 308.... Paul doesn't like stroker kits either because they increase low down and mid range torque...

I know its a 308 and Ive had single planes on both types... You also make more top end with a 355 if you can make it breathe, and not worry about the low end crap..

A 355 at the same RPM as a shorter stroke will make more power, so where did I say I didnt like?

I have Chinese hywinder, with a Ramflo filter. Yes it was u der the bonnet on a VH. Cooked the carb. Put a 1.5 inch phenolic spacer on. Half the filter is out the bonnet. But carb is 75% cooler.

The Edelbrock Air Gap is slightly lower than the TP Dual Plane High Rise.

If Shorten gets in, we won't have to worry if a SP is better than a DP intake manifold.....
We will be talking about supercharged batteries & wind driven turbos...
    LOL

Hey guys will this electric motor fit into my LX Torana? You want TQ down low, well electric will do it and nothing will stick out the bonnet... No matter how good electrics are I will never vote labor or greens, in fact I would rather run a dual plane...
