I’ve used all three. Started off with a Performer, then went TPDP, now TPSP.
When your talking mild 355 with early heads, as has already been said on this thread, it’s the heads holding back the combo, not the manifold. Unless you have had some good head work done, a Performer will work fine.
TK has built several mild early headed budget 355’s with half decent minor port work, a hydraulic in the 230’s that have a Performer fitted, and the Performer manifold fitted isn’t holding them back.
These engines are coincidently all in Holden Statesman’s with 3,500 stall, 3.55 gears and make around 400hp with good torque to move the heavy car.
When you have very good head work and a solid cam and wanna make 400+ you look at a TPDP.
When you don’t care about torque under 4,000, go a TP single.
That’s my 2c.Last edited by Bill355; 24-01-2019 at 05:46 PM.

Yet if you putter around town at 2k rpm or less but still want some getup and go to 6k rpm the dual plane wins.
That said, I have only had single planes in the last 20 years.

No listen to EH, he knows much more than Vizard..............
Whens your next seminar EH? Is it free? People pay for Vizard's seminars because I presume they think he knows what he is talking about...& worth the money.

Settle down Poncho, you're losing it.
You want to hope anyone reading this doesn't destroy their engine, using the vacuum advance method you so strongly advocate.

The hilarious thing about Yellowbullet is it very clearly states "where the weak are killed and eaten" and the un-moderated forum is called "trash or be trashed" and yet members who frequent there...
