Wouldn't hurt to ask them what they recommend, in the form of a stator change for yours.

4.44's with say a common 25" height tyre, will give around 3700 rpm @ 100kph. Not high for me, but could be for you.

The VNs are pretty big even in stock form, I wouldnt personally go to a HQ or early style head when you can just get a set of VNs have the seats cut, clean up the short turn and where the cutter has gone and have a nice set of heads with close to zero porting..

ive got 4.44s 235/45/17 and a converter thats around 5300 behind my 288 cammed 330. highway driving sucks. on the flat its around 3700. with that stall goes over 4K easily on mild throttle. good for some short distance but long distance no way.

and chews the fuel. add in the E85 i run. 3/4 a tank from bathurst to orange and back. which is 45 mins apart

Its not just about opening it up if its a 10" 3500 converter they cant reduce the overal diameter to 9 or 8 to make it 4000 or 5000 so there are limits..

Im not saying a 10" wont work if you have it loosened up, but its limited you cant make it act like a 5000 8" converter out of a 10" 3500..

    Yeah always up early.

They are a copy of the hywinder anyway... Which I've had on a 355 with a small solid, went surprisingly well...

Don't bother sending converter away for a report, sell it as it is.
Your not going to get it to where it needs to be.

Your gonna need an 8" and more stall than your anticipating at a guess.
