    I think EH was actually using the politically correct gender neutral term to allow the camshaft to be whichever it chooses .

    The induction sets the max RPM limit in reality, the size of the ports, CFM flow, size and length of the intake runners you can try to force it up with cam but there is a law of diminishing return for everything...

    Look at an LS3 with big 3"+ intake ports, doesnt need as much cam as a 308 with unported red heads to go 7000RPM .. So, yeah I wouldnt go stupid with a cam for a stock engine, especially without a lot of stall or manual trans and low gearing...

    How many KMs has the engine done? Just putting a cam in a standard compression 253 wont reap great rewards and might finish it off its done a few KMs and driven hard.

    How true .. If the bore aint sealing you havent got a hope, if the valve seats are leaking youre f-cked.. A fresh engine makes more power.. We all need everything to be a nice tight seal .. Every man should know tight = good
