Default VT 5.0 LTR under load misfire??

Mild engine. Manual. Under instant load the engine shuts down then comes straight back to life. New coil and eng harness has had the signal wire moved away from the harness. Very wierd and intermittent. I've heard that the VT can have a power supply issue in the harness that passes through the firewall?? Dizzy issue???? What's peoples thoughts

When you say "shuts down".... is it stalling or just doesn't respond?

Vacuum leaks are the first check.

Drives fine. Soon as you put under load it has an intermittent engine shut down then away it goes. No vac leaks. Always has fault code regarding REF SENSOR which can be associated with harness issue I'm told??. I have modified harness(signal wire) and module earth's

What air filter are you using? Could be a lazy/dirty MAF or TPS.?

replaced the dizzy? breaking down under load is usually an ignition problem, particularly if its intermittent.

To me you have described a fuel cut, I would suggest driving it with a fuel pressure gauge.

If you think it's ignition then keep throwing parts at it, yes it could be the sensor in the dizzy.
