If I do decide to throw a cam and springs in, can anyone recommend a decent grind for a weekend toy?

Crane 276 would probably be decent for cruising duties if your planning to add boost.

I've been looking at that, what about it makes it better boost than other cams though?

Crane 276 worked well as an off the shelf option for SC peeps back in the day although bound to be better option these days.

Probably more to do with it being readily available with better rev range over stock cam & less likely to bleed off boost than bigger n/a options.

Mine is just a reco vs 304/4l60e setup with come 266(?),think it's in between crane crane 268 & 276....got majority of parts to get it running n/a just lack time.

The tunes I'm using also have high and low octane maps and knock sensors so tuned right it should be fully safe. At the end of the day I'm no expert but there is no harm in trying.

I'm just waiting on a different tank to arrive but it should be done in a couple of weeks all going well.
Hey Mate, did your set up arrive? What's the opinion?

I'm probably going to use the first cam on that list - CT248 532

It's the ones they suggest for supercharger/turbo setup on EFI 304, I'm going to be running a similar setup.

Get the whole combo working first! leave the bolt on super charger last!
Tuning will be the expensive cost, if its not done right, waste of dyno tuning,

Not many shops in adelaide does the tuning

Totally agree mate, that's actually what I've decided to do. Get it running in Feb, then do blower in June. I've got a tuner sorted, he's a pain to get hold of but has done my last few cars and never let's me down once he has my car..
