    If that's a stage 2 modded pump, mines a stage 4.

I put one on mine with just some basic deburring, never had problems in the past either. Maybe this next one I'll try stage 4 mods.

Hope that wasnt aimed at me lol.. I was actually going to try it, couldnt resist a little piss take on the 'stages' thing though I'll also do the oil mod feeding the 2 galleries via the front and blocking no.4 cam bearing hole.

I've built a couple with TK's mods and from my own findings the best pump I have at the moment is a standard non ported Holden pump with the filter bypass blocked and Zok's pressure relief valve mod.

For my use (circuit stuff) porting and drilling them out is a step backwards for an engine that naturally floods the top end.

TKs pump, k&n filter, -12 external pick up, group c oil mods, roll pins in pushrod, oil returns internal/external, and 11 litre baffled sump has done the trick at winton so far.
I think the external pick up is crucial to avoid cavitation.
Also nice to have oil pressure sensor at drivers side gallery I have been told.

What sort of Rpm's require oil gallery mods? Or is it more of a concern for sustained high RPM such as circuit?

not exactly i know you were just being "pauly" an being a smartass i also know you're one of the few who can see old griff is just trying to have a go and attempting to help others an get help along the way

i just sick of so called "car enthusiasts" sh*tting on others who attempt to do sh*t for themselves an "break the mould" from the norm or just do stuff because it's what they want and not what others want it's why no one can truly enjoy their modified cars anymore (especially in qld) without f*ckhead cops playing gestapo an throw the book at people who try all the guys i know's cars are garage campers an trailer queens and it's all because of bullsh*t infighting an H_O_M_OS mocking everyone else no one will band together to fight against bullsh*t laws
