    and on that note .....

have a new Rollmaster AND a JP timing set hanging on the wall in the shed.

There is a preference for one of these (the broken engine had a Rollmaster in it)
but for the life of me, I cannot remember which is the one to use (both are multi key)

    Comments please ....

Traditionally it was Rollmaster but it needs to be the premium set with the red label on the box not the blue labelled "economaster" sets. Having said that things could have changed as JP bought out Rollmaster a few years ago. The main thing with the Rollmaster sets is they had German made IWIS chains, the one I bought a few years ago for mine still did. The cheaper economaster sets have a rolon chain, not sure what chain the JP sets have.

I had a feeling that might be the case for you. And I gather you’re running a expensive steel bellhousing?

personally if i were spend that much for a block i'd save the extra an buy a new casting torque power block at least then i'd actually know what i was getting and not very possibly throwing more money into the toilet....

A Standard bore Group A block isn't really throwing anything down a toilet. Plus conrods and a crank. How much is finding a good standard bore casting and re machining a crank and a set of good conrods worth? Then converting it to 4-bolt?

How much is a bigpaw block? 8 grand?
