A1 race Engines in Huntingdale (or Saliba in Springvale if he is too busy)

previously I used Brian Berryman (LPs engine machinist and balance man)
but he retired a couple of years ago (and sold his workshop in Moorabbin)

No doubt you're sorry he's pulled the plug Smitty, I imagine that would have been a very good man to have doing machine work for you.

yes... very good. He did his apprenticeship with Repco Engines in the 60s
and worked on the Holden V8 F5000 engine Repco developed (with Tony Wallis and Phil Irving)

    plus
he was also a neighbour (all the local boys had the hots for his daughter )

No doubt the workmanship on that sump is second to none, but....
    Why no side kick out?
    No rear and side scrapers?
    No external pick up?
    Can't lower engine anymore?
    Windage tray on mains?
    No oil return inlet?
I would trade all that gate wizardry for the above and 9 litres capacity.

If it's a Commodore cup spec pan I suspect it's still a fairly basic set up. I would assume if Smitty wanted something more exotic he would have purchased a higher end pan.
