Default 355 hesitation at full throttle

carbs is a 750 double pumper holly. I'm getting an annoying hesitation when i put my foot down. I can take off without getting the secondary open and its fine, but if i am cruising and put my foot down it hesitates then takes off. Has been on a dyno and got it tuned a while ago, however pump cams and nozzles where not touched for some reason. Final got it on the road and went for a long drive yesterday, where i discovered the hesitation.
where do you think i should start?

Start with the list number for the carb and if it has been modified at all. Then tell us what you know of the specs regarding shooter sizing and cam colour.

Not all dyno tuners know how to adjust a carbs circuits for optimum operation.

How old was the fuel? It may be worth giving it a while till you get a new tank of ufel in it and see if it makes a difference. 98 in particular goes stale pretty quick.

The carb is from memory is a 4150. Made by a well known member on here. .31 squirters in main and secondarys. Pump cam i cant picture it at the moment but its a lighter color on both.
Fuel less then a month old. Bp 98.p

355, 288 cam. Harrop single plane. Th350. Think its a 3000 stall maybe 3500. 9inch rear with 3.55 gears. Cars weight aprox 1300 to 1400kg.

I just sorted a similar problem on a 850 ive just installed on my 355.
Mine was a primary issue though.
When i put it on it had a white cam with 31 squirter and would do as youve said but at takeoff and cruise.
I changed squirter to a 35 with little effect, ive now changed to a pink cam and problem solved.
My secondary is a pink cam with 31 squirter.
    Hopefully that helps.

    Isn’t a 650 too small for a 355 with 288? I always thought you would need 750 at least

Have you asked the carb builder?.... he knows the thing better than us.

Your combo' of 3500 stall and 3.55 gears with a 288 cam will require some finesse in the tuning side for sure.

Im on the side of needing more fuel. But just dont know where to start with which cam/squirter to try next.

Turn the Pink cam upside down. More aggressive than a Blue cam.
Try it and see, costs nothing compared to new squirters.

3k stally sounds very small for 288 cam 355.

What does flash stall show up as?

Ill give the cam flip a go. Think just do it on the 2nds?
    Whats flash stall?
If it helps the engine made peak power at 6100rpm and peak torque was at 4000rpm on a chassie dyno.
