Few pics i'll share from yesterday. Finally moved the car from the side of the house and into the garage, gave it a quick hit with the hose as its been left outside for a fair few months and was looking pretty dusty.

^ You can see the damage to the rear quarter where i've nudged a wall previously, bumper is bent and the panel beneath it has some chipped paint.

Well due to Paulies teasing i got sad and bought some 15x8's for the rear to complete the bogan skidder look. Got em cheap, the backspacing was perfect and it made me feel better. Heres some pics. They need a clean and the tyre has spraypaint on it but you get the idea.

The sale also included some 275 pro radials with a bit of tread left. Not going to use them as they're a huge tyre that wont fit under my stock tubs. a 235 on the other hand would be the go for a quick blurt down the strip later on.

Should’ve bought 12 slotters. The ultimate bogan rim.

Even though my VS V8 was stolen I’ve still got a set of chaser rims in the shed for that bogan skidder look.

There's four 15X7's with old tyres sitting in my garden shed I wouldn't mind getting rid of if somebody in SEQ is interested.

Went ahead and installed the cam today along with Melling oil pump and Rollmaster single row timing chain.

Everything went smoothly with the install, while i was there checked a rod bearing for wear and took some photos of that. No other photos unfortunately. Greasy Hands..

Note the dodgy camp stove setup for heating the bottom timing chain sprocket so it slid on easily. Worked a treat, far better than bashing it on.

Both crank and rod bearing have some wear but for a 180,000k motor its doing very well for itself.

Also have now wired in some new brake lights, the old ones weren't working so well, so i ripped out the old plugs and bulbs and made up a new harness for the taillight/brake light circuit and wired them in using the stock brake switch. Gauge wiring is done and once i make the dash plate we'll be just about good to go in terms of wiring. Looking good for powercruise this year, with testing in August. Thinking i might be able to swing a saturday on the dyno followed by a visit to willowbank if the weekends line up, we shall see.

By the way if anyone is thinking of doing Burger Urges super hot death burger challenge they have going at the moment - dont. It's absolutely brutal, the mouth pain is just the start. It then rips your stomach up and shreds the lining to bits before moving to your ass. Also your piss goes spicy for 6 - 8 hrs the following day. Just dont do it.
