I asked him a while back if he had any. He said he would let me know the next time he does a batch but I have not heard back, I'm guessing he hasn't done anymore?

I did the calcs too but I don't have access to a machine shop right now so I gave them to my mate a while ago to knock me some up but again, have heard nothing! Of course I gave him my only copy of my calcs, ha ha!

I do remember that it came out to be an oval shape ( or a circle with a flat on either side) to fit in the dizzy. Of course you can modify the dizzy to accept as previously mentioned.

I would be interested in another one if somebody was to knock some up as I am doing a cam change soon and will definitely need one!

If your asking me, no not yet. But i have extracted a digit & fired up the lathe. I made a 14* bush, 10mm in dia. Fits in without any mods. Hole in the middle is just a 3/16" drill, bush is 4.6mm thick.
Based on my rough graph above (left is deg mechanical advance & on the bottom is bush diameter), I have approximated the other sizes I need. Just got to find the time to make them & try to see if the graph is accurate.

Ok, after some delays due to family heath issues & other engines tying up the dyno we finally got this there.

    577hp @ 6500rpm, 504ft/lbs @ 5250rpm, 31.5 deg timing - dyno sheet later.

More than enough to make a VH do some silly shit on the street!

For those interested in the calibration of the QF 850 E85 carb - it was so damn close we could have left it 100% out the box, but we chose to tweak the HSAB's - going from 31 to 25 made another 2hp up top.
Jetting, power valve & all other bleeds etc are out the box, I don't even know what they are - we never even took the float bowls off.

Just loading up an early head 355 cube hillclimb engine now & headed back to Bills, that one wears a QF 750 E85 carb - we'll see how that one goes.
I'm not on here much any more - don't bother PM'ing me, chances are I won't read it, just call me on 08 8376 9540 if you need to get hold of me or email knight28@optusnet.com.au, phone is better!

Very nice. That will be stupid fast in a street VH.
    Liking the QF results.

Good result tony, thats going to be a very fast VH, mid to low 10 sec potential depending on setup

[QUOTE=TK383;695268]She's built to achieve high trapped VE% - which results in high dynamic compression, higher than you'd think given the static comp. Going up to 13:1 I'm 90% certain would result in detonation.
I could push it a little higher, but fuel for this is going to be kept in drums in a shed for a period of time, best to err on the side of caution & leave some safety margin in it.
Going up to 12.7-12.8:1 would maybe see 5-10hp, if that, not worth the risk.

I'd say mission accomplished. Thats a BMEP of 14.6 bar at pear torque!

Oh my bad, this is a 383. I thought that torque figure was monstrous!
    Still a top effort.
