I'd love another 2200 revs! Current peak is 6200, so was only really looking to push that out to 7000...

Why not go to 8400 like the man said? I rev my low revving tow car to 6200!! ;-)

Peak power is 6200. Shifting at about 6800. + 2200=9000, on a scat crank.

More VN iron, 'bang for buck' porting left off the carbide.
2.05/1.6 valves, 2.4" MCSA for a 355 turning pretty hard with a sheetmetal ram, SFT cam has a fair bit of forward split & she's 13:1 on E85 so I left the exhaust ports a little smaller than usual.

    Lift - Intake - Exhaust
    .1 - 61 - 54
    .2 - 132.5 - 108
    .3 - 183 - 145
    .4 - 223 - 167
    .45 - 241 - 173
    .5 - 255 - 180
    .55 - 266 - 187
    .6 - 279 - 191
    .65 - 290 - 194
    .7 - 297 - 195
    .75 - 302 - 198
    .8 - 307 - 200
    .85 - 309 - 200
    .9 - 312 - 200

Hey TK, what sort of number can be achieved with stock sized valves (1.94/1.6)?

Can't say I know for sure.
Even with just pocket porting a 2.02" valve picks up a bunch, anything more than a basic pocket port I just go to a larger valve, so I've never really tried to optimise for a 1.94" valve.

Mild pocket port VN's with stock 1.94/1.6 valves.. As you can see just a bowl port and short side the runners are untouched Peak IN CFM= 255.9@.750 Peak EX CFM= 177@.750 If you went at it hard you might be able to get more, these heads are probably good for a 500HP engine

TK- I have considered larger valves but want to see what I can get out standard gear. Plus, if I stuffed up there's room for repair.
Paul - that's some pretty useful info in your response. Guess I should hit 270cfm then, maybe 500hp is doable after all. Like I said on my other thread, I will get it dynoed and do a proper thread on that engine. If it hits 500hp I think a lot of heads are gonna start turning.

500 shouldn't be hard. Mine went 264@.700 and made 436atw with .590 lift.
Stock valves, full port, stock size runner.
