just cheap extractors , go torker intake with quadrajet -small primaries to build midrange -top end set up with how to modify your quadrajet book
    i used a crower cam 244 252 @ 50 11:1 that combined with 3.55 diff had power from 3000-7000 rpm
if your staying with 308ci as said the vn heads are to big -bob kotmel found slightly bigger 1.8 valves in the red heads produced better results
if you have remembrance of his street machine article
how does that work with a circuit engine? ... in so far as the comment on the Paccies? ( i ask as lot of circuit guys run them on old Red heads)
I run the HDT Grp A headers...and they seem to work well
    also...
the Torker with a modded Quaddy is a good tip ( that used to be my setup with a 2" spacer)
but I have gone a 'rare' Duggan manifold with the Quaddie and got better throttle response (and 2 seconds around sandown)

No I didn't end up building the engine. Went just for a tuff streeter combo. But on the up side atleast this thread has provided some good information for anyone looking to build a circuit engine

i had a 72-7400 rpm 253 that had pacemaker try-Y's and then fitted 1 3/4 pacemaker 4:1's as the 253 exploded the mufflers and i was
soon going to fit a 370ci 308, the pipe change felt like i'd swapped in a 308

honestly Smitty i wouldnt bother too much with this SAK guy he trolls the internet and gets called on his bullshit wherever he goes.. here's just one amusing article where he reckons if he removes the O2 sensor from his VL he can "dust" his mum's VZ..

yeah there were a guy who said yeah mayby if his cat was gutted which it was
if you are so determined to not look like you know what you are talking about that you go to
lengths to look to put me down then it shows that you feel put down by my knowledge

if you had a situation in which you where about to die which i was and called out to GOD
and he saved me from death ,do you think he could also show me things to come

you thinking of our member ... ACTROL?

by the way... I will tell you a funny story.
The company I work for used to have 2 divisions ...
one that makes plumbing stuff and one that made/installed heating and cooling stuff.

The one that did the heating/cooling stuff was called.... ACTROL

Even though it had been in business for over 30 years, the ACTROL division was sold a few years ago

ps... the plumbing division (who i work for now makes more $ than the combined )

no i reckons that the vl that i had was faster, not that just that removing the 02 sensor would "DUST " his mum's commodore -if you want to know the truth
i replaced that motor with another rb30 and it was pathetic compared to the one i was comparing, so it was obvious that the one i was comparing had something done to it
