mid 11s oil pressure is good about 20 psi hot @ 900 rpm idle,40 psi when cruising @ 3000 rpm and 65+ hot at 6000 rpm.oil surge has been the real problem in the past lifter valley and valve cover filling with oil.when that happens the best sump in the world wont help much.this should be good on the track now,we have priority mains oiling, oil returns from the heads tricked up pump, oil cooler, moroso accumulator killer sump and tray, remote pickup with more direct path and larger diameter pipe.we are also running thinner 10w 40 uxl oil so it should flow quicker.i have fitted to pro lights a yellow @ 30 psi & red @ 18 psi along with a large diameter pie to the mech guage resulting in instant guage response to pressure changes.the vac pump isnt on yet as id like to get any other bugs ironed out before i ad another variable to the puzzle.the priority mains oiling system is key to the ooilng system but there has been alot of thought/work/enginering gone in to the rest off the oilng system.

083.JPG ive noticed a few discussions on here about crank case pressure & breathers, since im not running the vac pump straight up i thought id make up a nice set of breathers for the old valve covers.igot busy with the drop saw & grinder the tk got busy with his tig welder.each cover has two 38 mm i.d vertical pipes 65mm high, if you look closely you can see ive inserted 2 half round baffles in each upright opposite each other and angled down @ about 30 degrees.another tube runs across the top joing them together then forward to catch cans on each skirt{inner guard}.i believe a lot of people over look the inportance of a good breather sytem on modified engine and feel if any one was to copy this style of system they couldnt go to far wrong.

LOL, don't worry man - it means VN heads, roller cam & single plane intake would ruin the car!

i drilled mine through 15mm and tapped it 3/8bsp
i found it nicer to remove that gallery and tap strait into the main feed, blanking the lh lifter gallery in the process!feeding the top end bias using smaller diameter plumbing!

True, gotta be way better then the factory design, but the priorty mains being a different design, i wonder if flow will be biased more towards a certain main.

    hows your set up goin!!

I think its a good direction for my problems, and with dry sump set up added, it can only be good.
