with the oil pressure you are using tk383 there are a few things to add ,the oil pump drive needs to be replaced, and sometimes the bush that the oil pump drive runs in 2nd i've seen on an engine that was built by another builder -the drive on the cam and the corresponding
gears on the oil pump drive can wear out quickly, with this pressure , iff you do the bolt up tight that holds the cam locating plate and mark on the hex of the bolt -that faces toward the drive gear for the oil pump drive , then remove the bolt and carefully drill on the side a hole through to the hole that goes through the middle of the bolt thus giving extra oiling to the cam/oil pump drive gear

Has anyone actually followed this guide and rebuilt their oil pump? I want to give it a go but I can't find anyone who stocks these rebuild kits. Any leads would be appreciated.

Yeh i have just dropped my oil, and now it is not delivering any oil to the lifters. i took my pump off to make sure there are no blockages but is all clean. i fear (as i have been told) that it may be the internal pump on the up stroke that has shat itself. How long should it take to pick up the new oil? i used Penrite 15W-60 as recomended by Penrite and the boys at my local Auto Pro. can anyone help i feel naked without her!
