Default Turbo 400 build for boosted LS

I picked up a turbo 400 today that I've stripped down and am going to rebuild to live behind my 500whp LS1. I will probably turn up the wick down the track, so I want this box to be pretty stout.
I bought the box on the assumption it was just a running t400, but was pleasantly surprised to see it had just been rebuilt and not even had fluid put in it.

He'll do it for less than that, he's gonna have a crack himself. So long as he can do some of the machine work and the parts are good enough, maybe $1500-1600.
It has a ramp & roller direct drum so he'll be on the lock out for a good one.

Should be able to dodgy something up to take the punishment.

Better tune in to this one V8bulldogs.

Are the Google photo links working? Does anyone know how to insert them inline like you could with Photobucket?

I checked input shaft end play at 0.55mm and output shaft end play at 0.30mm on tear down. Both in spec according to the rebuild manual I have.

Ramp and roller direct drum which will be upgraded to drum to suit 34 element sprag clutch

New Inter clutches which will be upgraded anyway

Box stripped down and all components on the work bench ready for mods to take some punishment.

Depends exactly what your after, OE or post production non OE parts.
You can buy a Taiwanese drum brand new which may or may not fail for $200-300 or buy good S/H OE units from hard part suppliers.
New sprag roughly $120 give or take.

You can buy them fully assembled with sprags at local speed shops for between $600-700

There is an Aluminium drum on ebay locally that has the smooth race to suit 34 element sprag but it isn't fixed to the drum in the appropriate manner.
If you were going to the trouble of manufacturing an alloy drum I don't know why you would use that race, do it properly and make it the drum it should be.

Not sure if google pics lets remote viewing or not.
Its showing the link and we can see pics on your google page, along with address etc

Could try selecting image in new tab and adding that url to image tags using full site view on here with advanced reply to thread but will only work if page link ends in a supported file type such as .gif..img.jpeg etc
Thats how i done it but built a blank website to host pics from instead of 3rd party.

Okay, cheers. I gave what you suggested here a go, but no luck. What are others doing? Surely not paying for Photobucket!
