    Personally I think a hydraulic assisted rack is the best option as it isolates the force right down to the rack output, and the electric pump gives you the option to keep this if you can't run one off the engine. Electric assist at the column is fine in vehicles that have been designed for it but I've never really liked the retrofit idea when you see how much force goes through the intermediate shaft and rack input, and if you kept it on the safe side you'd lose most of the benefits of power assist.

    Hi lads, I've looked around and their seems to be two shapes of ts pumps. Can anyone confirm which one they've used and if it's just a different shape tank or if one is stronger/weaker/smarter/slower etc?

    Top one looks like what I've seen in 2 early girls this week...304 car had it under headlight area,lsa car had it in boot with fuelcell & battery.

    ... top one is DEF TS Astra
    zactly the same as the one I saw in the missus TS Astra (when she had it)

    can't even work out what model the bottom one is off.. coz the
    whole kframe/suspension looks NOT Astra
